Marketing Analyst
The Marketing Analyst is primarily responsible for data assembly, manipulation and analysis as part of Catalyst’s strategic services engagements. This person will be a member of Catalyst Intelligence Services (CIS), the strategic services arm of our agency. CIS is a best-in-class marketing services group that offers our clients valuable strategic, analytical and tactical insight. The Marketing Analyst role is crucial as all engagements are data-driven and produce strategic and tactical takeaways that have wide-reaching impacts for the world’s top brands.
LOCATION: Boston
PROJECT DELIVERY
- Use search tools and other data sources to uncover insights and opportunities for the client
- Translate large amounts of data into concise figures with clear conclusions
- Generate analysis to illustrate how the data is meaningful to the client
- Critically evaluate data, industry trends, client and competitor performance
- Evaluate data management tools to answer key project questions
- Manage project tasks and deliverables to ensure high standard of work and timeliness of delivery
THOUGHT LEADERSHIP
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices, focusing on how changes can help improve offerings
- Think creatively and develop tools and innovative tactics to improve efficiencies or advance the practice
- Actively contribute to corporate initiatives, automation projects, process changes and roll-outs
- Create, or assist in creating, POVs, best practices, and key process documentation
RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT
- Develop additional product offerings to ensure that Catalyst continues to offer the highest value services to our clients
- Use industry knowledge, client questions and challenges, and new data tools to develop new projects or additional elements to current project offerings
- Improve current offerings via new data sources, updated methodologies, etc.
- Develop delivery efficiencies for current offerings via new data tools and/or automation
SOLUTIONS RECOMMENDATIONS
- Consult with Account Directors and Sales to uncover and discuss additional opportunities with their accounts
- Periodically aid in creation of new business presentations
- Assist in crafting success stories and case studies Participate in company-wide presentations to educate staff on CIS’ offerings
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data analysis or data modeling
- Previous search engine marketing experience is preferred (e.g. Google AdWords Certification and Google Analytics certification)
- Must be a self-starter who enjoys a dynamic atmosphere and working on challenging projects

- Must have excellent attention to detail Must be able to effectively multi-task in a deadline-driven environment
- Exceptional presentation skills for both client and internal meetings
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Willingness and ability to travel and work extended hours as needed
- Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) SQL, JavaScript preferred
